HinduismSuitable for KS1/2 teachers & pupils. The origin of the word Hindu is explained along with beliefs about God with form, as a person and God without form. Places of worship and the cycle of life are described and this very informative site is well illustrated. Better readers will manage most of it ****

A site provided by Bob Wallis of Knottingley CE school, Wakefield, it provides a very readable explanation of the five pillars of Islam, covering faith, prayer, giving, the fast and the pilgrimage. Plenty of graphics and clear, easy text make this a site that children can use for research ****

Suitable for KS1/2 teachers. The Judaism area of the site explains the main features of the religion, festivals and customs. The background introductory music, photographs of artefacts and the Wailing Wall, combined with useful information about synagogues, the Torah scroll and so much more make this a very worthwhile site *****
